Electronic Design
Due to the digital drive scheme, LCOS displays are highly programmable. The ASIC defines the addressed pixel matrix, bit depth and refresh rate. It also provides timing signals for the LEDs/lasers, the actual generation of ASICs provides brightness information (PWM signal) as well. The drive mode can be in-situ adapted to environmental changes (e.g. brightness, temperature), like monochromatic operation for low temperature operation. There is high flexibility in addressed color bit depth and color frame rates. Furthermore, there are dithering options and 4th color operation modes, like RGB White or RGB Yellow.
HOLOEYE offers customized development of drive boards (size, number of displays or signal input) and the development of custom flex connectors. Additionally customized micro-controller software and firmware development is possible.
